The heavyweight polyester cloth backing handles high-pressure applications without breaking down and can be run dry or with a lubricant. A built-in grinding aid reduces heat buildup, making this belt well suited for work on stainless steel and other heat-sensitive metals. Installation and operation are handled by metal fabricators, grinders, and finishing technicians.
This belt is used in heavy stock removal, weld blending, and surface finishing on metal workpieces. The 42-inch length and 1-inch width make it compatible with standard belt grinders and finishing machines configured for that size. The 80-grit designation places it in the medium range, appropriate for aggressive material removal while still leaving a workable surface finish.
