The 3M 7010298877 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing on metal surfaces prior to plating or buffing operations. It uses 3M microreplication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide abrasive particles are formed into three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the pyramid tips wear during use, fresh, sharp mineral is continuously exposed. This self-sharpening action produces a consistent cut rate and a predictable, fine surface finish throughout the life of the belt. The belt measures 148 inches in length and 5 inches in width and weighs 0.79 pounds.
This belt is suited for robotic and automated grinding applications where finish consistency across high part volumes is required. It is also used in manual and semi-automated metal fabrication environments for intermediate stock removal and pre-plate or pre-buff surface preparation. The flexible X-weight cloth backing conforms to contoured workpiece profiles, making it effective on both flat and irregular geometries. Typical end-use industries include aerospace, automotive, and general metal fabrication shops where tight surface finish tolerances must be held.

Installation should be performed by a qualified grinding or fabrication technician following the machine manufacturer's belt-change procedures.
