The 3M 7010295435 is a 5.0 mil acrylic adhesive transfer tape designed for bonding a wide variety of surfaces, including low-surface-energy (LSE) plastics and textured or rough substrates. It ships as a 48-inch wide, 60-yard roll and delivers very high initial adhesion without a carrier film. The acrylic adhesive construction provides strong resistance to humidity, water, solvents, chemicals, and UV exposure, and it holds up in temperatures up to 250 degrees F (121 degrees C). This tape is the thicker counterpart to 3M Adhesive Transfer Tape 9471 and suits general-purpose transfer tape applications across industrial and assembly environments.
This tape is used in surface bonding applications where a clean, carrier-free adhesive layer is required. It performs well on textured surfaces and LSE plastics that challenge many conventional adhesives. The 60 Densified Kraft liner supports die-cutting operations, making it a practical choice for fabricators, assembly technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals who need precise, repeatable cuts. It is suited for both light manufacturing and field assembly scenarios where a high-tack, environmentally resistant bond is needed.
Designed as a general-purpose adhesive transfer tape suitable for bonding LSE plastics, foam, textured surfaces, and a broad range of substrates in industrial and assembly applications.
Surface preparation is critical — clean and dry the bonding substrate thoroughly before application to achieve full adhesion. Apply firm, even pressure across the tape after placement to maximize contact with the substrate. When die-cutting, take advantage of the Densified Kraft liner to maintain dimensional accuracy. Avoid stretching the tape during application, as deformation can reduce bond integrity.
