The 3M 7010295391 is an adhesive transfer tape in the ATG 987 series, engineered for fast, clean bonding of lightweight materials in print, framing, and assembly workflows. The transparent acrylic adhesive bonds on contact without a carrier film, leaving no visible tape line through coated or uncoated paper, card stock, paperboard, foils, lightweight fabrics, flexible plastics, and foam board. It offers good resistance to UV exposure, solvents, humidity, and moisture. The roll is reverse wound on a 1-inch core for direct use with a Scotch ATG applicator gun, making it a standard tool for print finishers, framers, and sign fabricators.
This tape is suited for residential and commercial print assembly, photo and picture framing, paper crafting, matting, and lightweight material lamination. It performs well on smooth to moderately textured surfaces and conforms readily to curved or contoured edges. The 0.25-inch width and 60-yard length make it practical for high-volume hand assembly tasks where a clean, invisible bond line is required. Installation requires no heat or solvents, and the transfer format eliminates liner waste common with backed tape products.
Designed for use with Scotch ATG applicator guns that accept a 1-inch core roll. Suitable for bonding lightweight materials including uncoated and coated paper, card stock, paperboard, foils, lightweight fabrics, flexible plastics, and foam board.
Load the reverse-wound roll into a compatible Scotch ATG applicator following the applicator manufacturer's loading instructions. Apply firm, even pressure along the bond line after dispensing to ensure full contact adhesion. This is a pressure-sensitive adhesive — no heat gun, solvent, or primer is required for standard substrates. Surface should be clean and dry before application for best adhesion.
