The 3M 7010295147 is a 5.0 mil adhesive transfer tape built on a 300 high-strength acrylic adhesive system, backed by a 3.5 mil, 60 lb densified kraft paper liner. It delivers high initial adhesion and aggressive tack, making it a reliable choice for thin-film bonding, laminating, and splicing applications across a wide range of substrates. The tape is UL approved and meets US government specification MIL-P-19834B, Amendment 1. Licensed tradespeople and industrial assembly technicians working with film, foil, fabric, foam, or metal and plastic nameplate bonding will find this tape suited for consistent, clean results.
This transfer tape is designed for general-purpose use in applications that demand an aggressive adhesive on both high surface energy (HSE) and low surface energy (LSE) materials. Typical applications include splicing of films, foils, and fabrics, as well as laminating foams, photographs, fabrics, and metal or plastic nameplates. It performs well in environments where UV exposure or chemical contact is a concern. This roll measures 16 inches wide by 60 yards long, making it practical for production-volume or recurring service tasks.
Designed for bonding similar and dissimilar materials including film, foil, fabric, foam, and metal or plastic nameplates. Suitable as a general-purpose transfer tape for high-tack, thin-film laminating and splicing applications across a wide variety of substrates.
Surface preparation is critical for full adhesive performance — clean and dry the substrate before application to remove dust, oil, and contaminants. Apply firm, even pressure across the bonded area to ensure full contact and proper adhesive transfer. Remove the kraft paper liner carefully and avoid stretching the adhesive film during application. Once bonded, the adhesive is not designed for repositioning.
