The 3M 7010295014 is a non-woven nylon abrasive disc built for cleaning, deburring, and surface finishing on metal workpieces. The disc uses an Aluminum Oxide mineral abrasive in a medium grit grade, delivering a consistent scratch pattern on ferrous and non-ferrous metals alike. Its open, lofty web construction conforms to contoured and irregular surfaces without loading up with debris, extending the useful life of the disc. Sized at 14 inches in diameter, it fits a range of disc machines used in off-hand and automated or robotic finishing operations. Machinists, fabricators, and finishing technicians are the primary installers and operators of this product.
This disc is designed for applications where a consistent, smear-free satin or high-luster finish is required. It performs well on brass, stainless steel, aluminum, chrome, and nickel-plated hardware and fixtures. Typical use cases include edge breaking, deburring, weld finishing, and decorative surface preparation on contoured parts such as plumbing fixtures and door hardware. The dense, stiff construction handles high-pressure passes without folding or tearing, making it suitable for production environments running automated finishing lines as well as manual off-hand work.
Designed for use on disc machines that accept 14-inch non-woven abrasive discs with a center hole mount, used in off-hand and automated finishing applications on ferrous and non-ferrous metal workpieces.
Mounting and operation should be performed by qualified finishing or fabrication personnel familiar with abrasive disc equipment. Verify the machine spindle speed rating does not exceed the maximum rated RPM for the disc before operation. Ensure the disc is properly seated and secured on the arbor before powering the machine. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when operating abrasive equipment.
