The 3M 7010294515 is an aluminum oxide coated abrasive cloth belt designed for metal deburring, general metalworking, and woodworking material removal. The 341D series uses a tough AO mineral that cuts fast across metal and wood substrates. An X-weight cloth backing handles heavy sanding and grinding loads without tearing. Resin bond construction resists heat and pressure buildup during extended use. The belt measures 52.5 inches long by 4 inches wide and is supplied as a single unit. Licensed trades and production shops rely on this belt for consistent stock removal and surface conditioning on ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as wood.
This belt suits wide belt sanders, edge sanders, and portable belt sanders. The tube-shaped band profile fits inner and outer contours, making it effective for removing parting lines, casting imperfections, and burrs on machined or cast metal parts. It also mounts on a rubber expander wheel attachment for use with a die grinder or rotary drill, expanding its usefulness for contour work in fabrication and finishing operations. Metalworking shops, weld finishing operations, and millwork facilities are typical end-use environments.
Designed for use on wide belt sanders, edge sanders, and portable belt sanders; also fits rubber expander wheel attachments used with die grinders and rotary drills for contour and deburring work on metal and wood substrates.
Ensure the sanding machine or grinder is fully powered down and unplugged before mounting or removing the belt. Confirm belt tracking and tension per the equipment manufacturer guidelines before starting. When mounting on a rubber expander wheel, verify the wheel diameter is compatible with the belt inside diameter to prevent slippage or premature belt failure. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves during installation and operation.
