The 3M 7010292739 is a non-woven quick change abrasive disc designed for deburring, surface blending, and contaminant removal on metal workpieces. Built with a High Performance (HP) web construction, this disc is stiffer and more tear-resistant than standard GP-grade material, making it well suited for edge deburring, scratch blending, and removal of heavy surface oxidation. The aluminum oxide abrasive cuts sharply and produces a consistent scratch pattern across ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The open-web structure resists loading, reducing debris buildup and extending service life. The disc measures 3 inches in diameter and connects via a quick change attachment system for fast, secure tool mounting.
This disc is used in metalworking and fabrication environments where controlled surface finishing is required. Typical applications include removing part lines from small castings, clearing burrs from threaded pipes, cleaning up aluminum extrusions or die cast flashing, and blending surface scratches. The red color indicates a very fine (VFN) abrasive grade, appropriate for finish work on a variety of metal substrates. It is used by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians working with handheld angle grinders or dedicated quick change disc tools.
Designed for use with quick change disc tools and right-angle grinders that accept 3-inch quick change abrasive discs. Compatible with a variety of metal substrates including ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This disc is mounted by a licensed or qualified operator using a compatible quick change tool mandrel. Ensure the tool is powered off and disconnected from the air or electrical supply before mounting or removing the disc. Verify the tool RPM rating meets or exceeds the disc rating before operation. Operators should wear appropriate PPE including eye and face protection when using abrasive discs.
