The 3M 7010290393 is a unitized deburring wheel designed for surface finishing, deburring, and blending operations on metal workpieces. It uses silicon carbide abrasive in a soft-grade, density 3 construction, which allows the wheel to conform to contours and cut consistently without loading. The wheel measures 6 inches in diameter with a 1/2-inch face width and a 1/2-inch center hole. It is rated to a maximum of 6,000 RPM. Metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance technicians use this wheel for edge work and surface prep where a fine, controlled cut is required.
This deburring wheel is suited for use on die grinders in light industrial, fabrication, and maintenance environments. The fine-grade silicon carbide abrasive makes it appropriate for ferrous and non-ferrous metals where a smooth finish is the goal. The unitized construction holds the abrasive throughout the wheel body, so performance remains consistent as the wheel wears down. Applications include deburring drilled or punched holes, blending weld seams, and removing sharp edges prior to assembly or coating.
Designed for use with die grinders accepting a 1/2-inch arbor hole. Verify spindle speed does not exceed the 6,000 RPM maximum rating of this wheel before mounting.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with abrasive wheel safety. Before mounting, disconnect or de-energize the die grinder and confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed 6,000 RPM. Inspect the wheel for cracks or damage before each use and discard any wheel showing visible defects. Follow applicable ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the mounting and use of abrasive wheels.
