The 3M 7000149317 is a heavy-wall heat shrink cable sleeve in the ITCSN-1100 series, designed for electrical splices, connections, and terminations up to 1 kV. Constructed from cross-linked polyolefin with a factory-applied internal adhesive and sealant, it delivers mechanical and environmental protection once shrunk in place. The sleeve accepts wire sizes from 2 AWG through 4/0 AWG, with a supplied inner diameter of 1.10 inches recovering to 0.37 inches. The 6-inch cut-to-length design is split resistant and fast shrinking, reducing installation time on the job. Licensed electricians and utility splice technicians are the primary installers of this product.
This sleeve is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical applications where a reliable, moisture-resistant splice or termination is required. It is used on power cables, feeder runs, and service entrance conductors within the 2 AWG to 4/0 AWG range. The adhesive liner creates a waterproof seal when the sleeve is fully recovered, making it appropriate for both indoor and direct-exposure outdoor installations. Each sleeve is sold individually as a single 6-inch piece.
Designed for use with 2 AWG through 4/0 AWG copper or aluminum conductors in splicing, connection, and termination applications rated up to 1 kV.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician following applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before beginning any splice or termination work. Apply heat evenly along the sleeve using an appropriate heat gun, working from the center outward to avoid trapping air under the adhesive liner. Do not use an open flame, as uneven heat can cause incomplete recovery or damage to the sleeve material.
