The 3M 7000145501 is a 7 mil woven glass cloth tape with a silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive, designed for high-temperature electrical insulation applications. Rated to 180 degrees C and UL Recognized, it delivers reliable performance in demanding coil winding, banding, and insulation jobs. The white tape is edge-tear resistant and conformable, making it practical for wrapping irregular geometries without splitting or delaminating. Its silicone adhesive system bonds securely at elevated temperatures where conventional acrylic or rubber-based adhesives fail. Licensed electricians and motor winding technicians are the primary installers of this product.
This tape is suited for residential and commercial electrical motor coil insulation, transformer winding, and cable harnessing work. Typical applications include coil cover wrapping, anchor and banding duties, core insulation, layer insulation, and crossover insulation in high-heat environments. The tape is also printable, allowing field or shop marking directly on the surface. It is recommended for use alongside 3M 77 Electric Arc-Proofing Tape in arc-proofing assemblies. Each roll is wound on a 1 inch core and sold individually, with 10 rolls per carton.
