The 3M 7000133695 is a clear polyolefin heat shrink sleeve designed for wire insulation, bundling, and environmental protection in electrical installations. Rated for a 2:1 shrink ratio, it reduces from 3/4 inch inside diameter down to 3/8 inch ID when heat is applied at a minimum shrink temperature of 212 degrees F. The 6 inch overall length accommodates a range of termination and splice protection tasks. Compatible wire sizes span from 4 AWG through 3/0 AWG, making it a practical fit across both light and heavy-gauge conductor work. Electricians and low-voltage technicians reach for this sleeve when a clean, durable finish is needed over splices, terminals, or cable ends.
This heat shrink sleeve is suited for residential and commercial electrical work, marine wiring, panel wiring, and industrial cable management. Its resistance to corrosion, moisture, fungus, solvents, and flame makes it appropriate for exposed runs, wet locations, and service environments where durability matters. The clear color allows visual inspection of the conductor or splice beneath the tubing without removal. Typical applications include terminal insulation, wire identification protection, and mechanical strain relief at connection points.
Designed for use with conductors ranging from 4 AWG to 3/0 AWG. Suitable as an OEM-style heat shrink solution for general electrical, marine, and industrial wiring applications where a 3/4 inch pre-shrink ID sleeve is required.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified technicians following NEC guidelines. De-energize and lock out all circuits before applying heat shrink tubing over any conductor or termination. Use a heat gun calibrated for low-heat work and apply even heat around the full circumference of the sleeve to achieve uniform shrinkage. Do not use an open flame, as uneven heat can damage the tubing or the underlying conductor insulation.
