The 3M 7000133572 is a multiple-wall, semi-rigid heat shrink tubing designed for durable, moisture-resistant wire and cable terminations. Built from co-extruded polyolefin with selective cross-linking, it features a 2.5:1 shrink ratio and an integral meltable inner wall that flows during shrinking to seal around conductors and connectors. Each stick measures 48 inches in length and is sized at 3/8 inch recovered diameter. This tubing is installed by licensed electricians and experienced technicians working on wire harnesses, cable splices, and connector protection in commercial and industrial electrical applications.
This tubing is suited for applications requiring a sealed, semi-rigid protective sleeve over wire terminations, cable ends, and electrical connectors. The meltable inner wall creates an adhesive-like bond and environmental seal when heat is applied, making it appropriate for installations exposed to moisture, vibration, or contaminants. Typical use cases include panel wiring, marine electrical systems, industrial control wiring, and field splices where a watertight and mechanically stable termination is required.
Designed as an OEM-style heat shrink sleeve for use with wire, cable, and connector terminations requiring a multiple-wall, semi-rigid polyolefin solution with an integral meltable inner wall.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified technicians. De-energize all circuits before applying heat shrink tubing to any conductor or termination point. Use a calibrated heat gun to apply even, controlled heat along the tubing length — open flame is not recommended for precise shrink applications. Follow applicable NEC guidelines for insulation and termination requirements in the specific installation environment.
