The 3M 7000133382 is a female crimp-style wire disconnect designed for fast, reliable electrical terminations in residential and commercial wiring applications. Featuring full nylon heat shrink insulation, the connector creates a moisture-resistant seal when heat is applied, protecting the connection from corrosion and vibration-related loosening. The brass contact with TiN plating ensures low resistance and long-term durability. Rated for 12-10 AWG wire, this disconnect suits heavier-gauge branch circuit and equipment wiring where a secure, insulated female spade terminal is required. Each package contains 25 connectors.
These disconnects are used across HVAC, electrical, and appliance wiring applications where a 1/4 inch tab female spade connection is needed. Common install scenarios include control board wiring, motor lead terminations, and panel tap connections on residential and light commercial equipment. The heat shrink sleeve makes them well suited for environments with moisture exposure, such as outdoor condensing units, pool equipment enclosures, and damp mechanical rooms. Licensed electricians and HVAC technicians are the primary installers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation female spade disconnect for use with standard 1/4 inch male tab terminals on control boards, motors, and electrical components wired with 12-10 AWG conductors.
Installation requires a ratcheting crimp tool rated for insulated connectors and a heat gun to activate the shrink sleeve after crimping. De-energize all circuits before terminating or disturbing existing connections, following applicable NEC requirements for the circuit voltage and amperage. Confirm wire gauge falls within the 12-10 AWG range before crimping to ensure full contact engagement. Do not use an open flame to shrink the insulation sleeve, as this can damage the nylon and compromise the seal.
