The 3M 7000133289 is a standard insulated male disconnect terminal designed for use in electrical wiring applications requiring a secure, vibration-resistant tab connection. Rated at 600 VAC and compatible with 16 to 14 AWG conductors, this terminal features a 0.085 inch ID butted-seam barrel and a 1/4 inch tab that slides over a mating female disconnect. The blue flared vinyl sleeve serves as both a conductor size indicator and a strain relief point, reducing mechanical stress at the insulation entry. The ETP copper construction provides reliable conductivity, and the terminal carries UL Listing, CSA Certification, and RoHS 2011/65/EU compliance.
This disconnect terminal is suited for residential and commercial electrical panel wiring, appliance wiring, control panel assemblies, and general low-voltage branch circuit terminations. Electricians and panel technicians use these terminals where a tool-free disconnect is required between wire leads and tab-style terminals on contactors, relays, switches, and similar components. The color-coded blue sleeve helps verify correct wire gauge selection at a glance during high-volume wiring runs.
Designed for use with 16 to 14 AWG insulated conductors in standard male-to-female tab disconnect applications. Compatible with 1/4 inch female disconnect terminals on relays, contactors, switches, and similar electrical components.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified electrical technicians. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any conductors. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool appropriate for insulated terminals in the 16 to 14 AWG range to ensure a full, consistent crimp on the butted-seam barrel. Do not solder over a crimped connection, and do not exceed the rated conductor size range, as both practices compromise the integrity of the termination.
