The 3M 7000132665 is a heavy-wall, heat-shrinkable cable sleeve designed for electrical splices, connections, and terminations in low-voltage power applications rated up to 1 kV. Constructed from cross-linked polyolefin, this sleeve delivers mechanical and environmental protection once applied. It comes in a 48-inch cut-to-length format with a factory-applied adhesive sealant on the interior, which activates during shrinking to seal out moisture and contaminants. The sleeve is highly split resistant and fast shrinking, reducing installation time in the field. Licensed electricians and cable splicers working on low-voltage power distribution systems are the primary installers.
This cable sleeve is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical work where reliable insulation and environmental sealing are required at splice and termination points. The 48-inch length allows field technicians to cut sections to the required length for each application, minimizing material waste. It is appropriate for use in conduit, direct burial, and exposed installations where a durable, sealed connection is required.
Designed for use with low-voltage electrical cables and conductors up to 1 kV in splice, connection, and termination applications. Compatible with conductors where an ITCSN-series heavy-wall heat shrink sleeve is specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before beginning any splice or termination work. Use a calibrated heat gun or torch set to the appropriate temperature range for polyolefin heat shrink materials, applying heat evenly along the length of the sleeve to achieve full shrink and adhesive flow. Do not overheat or concentrate the heat source at a single point, as this can cause uneven shrinkage or damage to the sleeve.
