The 3M 7000132526 is a preformed mastic sealing pad engineered for insulating, padding, and sealing high voltage cables and cable accessories. Measuring 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 inches and 125 mils thick, each pad is conformable and tacky, allowing it to conform tightly over irregular surfaces without voids. An easy-release liner protects the mastic surface until application. The 7000132526 delivers excellent moisture resistance and features self-healing characteristics after being punctured or cut, maintaining seal integrity in demanding electrical environments. It is rated for continuous service up to 176 degrees F (80 degrees C).
This mastic pad is used in commercial and industrial electrical work wherever high voltage cable splices, terminations, or accessory connections require a conformable, moisture-resistant seal. It is particularly suited for applications over irregular geometries where tape wrapping alone would leave gaps. Electricians working on medium- and high-voltage cable systems rely on this product during splice and termination installation. Pads are sold individually (each) with a minimum order quantity of 10 per inner pack; the full case contains 40 pads.
Designed for use with high voltage cables and cable accessories requiring conformable mastic insulation and sealing, including splices and terminations where irregular surface geometry is present.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with applicable NEC requirements and the cable or accessory manufacturer's termination instructions. De-energize and lock out the circuit fully before handling any cable splice or termination. Remove the release liner immediately before application and press the pad firmly over the prepared surface to eliminate voids. Do not stretch the pad excessively, as thinning the mastic layer may compromise seal thickness.
