The 3M 7000132415 is a heavy-wall, flame-retardant heat shrinkable cable sleeve designed for electrical splices, connections, and terminations in high-demand applications. Constructed from cross-linked polyolefin, this sleeve provides both mechanical and environmental protection once shrunk in place. Each sleeve measures 48 inches in length and is factory-applied with an internal adhesive and sealant that activates during shrink to form a moisture-resistant seal. Rated for conductors in the 1000 to 2500 MCM range, it is engineered for fast shrinking to support rapid installation in the field. Meets MIL-DTL-23053/15, Class 1 specifications.
This cable sleeve is suited for commercial and industrial electrical work where large-gauge conductor protection is required. Typical applications include utility splicing, high-ampacity feeder connections, and termination protection in environments exposed to moisture, chemicals, or mechanical stress. It is commonly installed by licensed electricians and utility technicians working on power distribution systems. Each case contains five 48-inch lengths, sold in a minimum quantity of five units per order.
Designed for use with large-gauge conductors in the 1000 to 2500 MCM range. Select the sleeve size equivalent to the expanded inside diameter required for the conductor or splice assembly being protected.
Installation should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician following applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before applying any heat shrink sleeve to a conductor or splice. Use an appropriate heat source such as a propane torch or heat gun, moving evenly along the sleeve to avoid scorching or uneven shrink. Do not attempt to reverse or reposition the sleeve after shrinking has begun.
