The 3M 7000132379 is a heat-shrinkable heavy-wall cable sleeve designed for electrical splices, connections, and terminations in systems rated up to 1 kV. Manufactured under the ITCSN-0800 product family, this sleeve is constructed from cross-linked polyolefin and ships in a 48-inch cut-to-length format. A factory-applied adhesive sealant is included as a standard feature, creating a moisture-resistant, mechanically secure bond on shrink. The sleeve is highly split-resistant and engineered for fast shrink rates, reducing installation time in the field. It is UL Listed 486D for 600V service under File Number E102356 and carries a CSA rating.
This cable sleeve is suited for residential and commercial electrical applications where splices, joints, and terminations require both environmental protection and mechanical reinforcement. Typical installations include cable repair work, termination points in conduit runs, and splice protection in exposed or underground environments. The cut-to-length format allows the installer to size each piece to the exact application without waste. The 48-inch sleeve length accommodates a wide range of splice configurations and conductor sizes.
Designed as an OEM-style heavy-wall heat shrink sleeve for electrical splices, connections, and terminations in systems operating at up to 1 kV.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before beginning any splice or termination work. Apply heat evenly along the sleeve using an appropriate heat gun, working from the center outward to prevent air entrapment under the shrink wall. Do not exceed the recommended shrink temperature for cross-linked polyolefin materials.
