Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for cable termination and insulation systems. De-energize and lock out the circuit completely before positioning the sleeve over the conductor. Apply uniform heat using an appropriate heat gun or torch following the sleeve manufacturer's shrink temperature guidelines, working from the center outward to avoid air pockets. Do not over-apply heat, as excessive temperature can damage the sleeve material or the underlying conductor insulation.
