The 3M 7000132372 is a heavy-wall heat shrink cable sleeve designed for electrical splices, connections, and terminations in systems rated up to 1 kV. The sleeve is constructed from cross-linked polyolefin with a factory-applied internal adhesive and sealant, providing both mechanical and environmental protection once installed. It measures 12 inches in length with a supplied inner diameter of 1.10 inches, recovering to 0.37 inches. The material is highly split resistant and fast shrinking, allowing for rapid installation in the field. Licensed electricians and cable jointers working on low-voltage power distribution systems are the primary installers of this product.
This cable sleeve is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical applications where reliable insulation and moisture sealing are required at splice and termination points. It is rated to 1 kV and carries a UL 486D listing for 600V service. The cut-to-length design allows installers to size the sleeve to the specific joint or termination being protected. Compatible wire range is 2 AWG through 4/0 AWG.
Designed for use with conductors ranging from 2 AWG to 4/0 AWG. Suitable for low-voltage electrical splices, connections, and terminations rated up to 1 kV in residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician. De-energize and lock out the circuit before applying the sleeve. Apply heat evenly using an appropriate heat gun, working from the center of the sleeve outward to ensure uniform shrinkage and full adhesive activation. Follow applicable NEC requirements for insulation and splice protection at the voltage and conductor size being serviced.
