The 3M 7000132371 is a heavy-wall heat shrinkable cable sleeve designed for electrical splices, connections, and terminations where mechanical and environmental protection are required. Part of the ITCSN series, this sleeve is manufactured from cross-linked polyolefin and supplied on a 25-foot reel. The inside diameter shrinks from 1.10 inches to 0.37 inches, accommodating conductor sizes from 2/0 AWG through 4/0 AWG. Rated to 1 kV and UL Listed 486D for 600V (File Number E102356) with a CSA rating, it is engineered for reliable long-term performance in demanding electrical environments. Electricians and cable termination technicians are the primary installers.
This cable sleeve is suited for residential, commercial, and industrial electrical applications where splices and terminations need insulation, strain relief, and protection from moisture and environmental exposure. The reel format makes it practical for high-volume or ongoing field work. The sleeve does not include factory-applied adhesive or sealant, making it appropriate for applications where a clean, non-adhesive fit is specified. It is well suited to work involving larger-gauge power conductors in panel connections, service entrance terminations, and similar installations.
Designed for use with 2/0 AWG through 4/0 AWG conductors requiring a heat shrink heavy-wall sleeve with a 1.10-inch expanded inside diameter and a 0.37-inch recovered inside diameter.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before applying any sleeve to a splice or termination. Use an appropriate heat gun set to a uniform temperature and move it steadily along the sleeve to achieve even shrinkage without scorching the material. Do not use an open flame as the heat source, as this can cause uneven shrinkage or damage to the sleeve and underlying conductor insulation.
