The 3M 7000132155 is a heavy-wall heat shrinkable cable sleeve designed for electrical splices, connections, and terminations rated to 1 kV. Part of the ITCSN series, it is constructed from cross-linked polyolefin with a factory-applied internal adhesive and sealant. The 12-inch cut-to-length sleeve shrinks rapidly, creating a tight mechanical and environmental seal around conductors. Its heavy-wall construction is highly split resistant, making it suitable for demanding electrical installations. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors working on medium-duty cable assemblies will find this sleeve appropriate for both new construction and repair applications.
This cable sleeve is rated for conductor sizes from 8 AWG through 1/0 AWG and is intended for use in electrical splice and termination applications requiring up to 1 kV protection. It provides environmental sealing against moisture and contaminants in both indoor and outdoor electrical installations. The sleeve is supplied as a single 12-inch piece, allowing it to be cut to the required length in the field. It is suited for commercial, industrial, and utility electrical work where reliable insulation and mechanical protection of cable joints is required.
Designed for electrical splices, connections, and terminations on conductors sized 8 AWG through 1/0 AWG in systems rated up to 1 kV. Part of the 3M ITCSN heavy-wall heat shrink sleeve series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before applying the sleeve. A heat gun capable of providing even, controlled heat should be used to shrink the sleeve uniformly from one end to the other, allowing the adhesive sealant to flow and seal properly. Do not use an open flame as a heat source, as uneven heating can cause uneven shrink or damage to the sleeve.
