The 3M 7000124313 is a low-profile, reclosable fastener strip designed for secure, tool-free attachment in indoor applications. Built on a black polypropylene base with a low surface energy (LSE) adhesive backing, it bonds reliably to metals, glass, and a wide range of plastics without mechanical fasteners. The strip measures 1 inch wide by 50 yards long, with an engaged thickness of 0.105 inches (2.7 mm). It is rated for low to medium temperature environments, with a maximum temperature resistance of 158 degrees F. Closure life is rated at 100 cycles. HVAC technicians, equipment installers, and fabricators use this fastener to secure panels, covers, and assemblies where repeated access is needed.
This fastener is suited for indoor use in residential and light commercial settings. It bonds to aluminum, stainless steel, glass, polypropylene, polyethylene, polycarbonate, ABS, powder-coated painted surfaces, and other medium to low surface energy materials. Common applications include securing access panels, attaching wire management covers, and fastening interior equipment enclosures where a clean, low-profile closure is required. The roll format allows installers to cut strips to length on the job.
Bonds to aluminum, stainless steel, glass, polypropylene, polyethylene, polycarbonate, ABS, powder-coated paints, and medium to low surface energy materials. Designed for indoor use only.
Surface preparation is critical for LSE adhesive performance — clean and degrease all bonding surfaces before application. No tools are required for installation; apply firm hand pressure across the full length of the strip to ensure full adhesive contact. This product is intended for indoor use and should not be exposed to outdoor conditions or temperatures exceeding 158 degrees F. Allow adequate dwell time after initial application before loading the fastener joint.
