The 3M 7000123751 is a high-performance acrylic adhesive transfer tape built on 3M High Performance Acrylic Adhesive 350, carried on a tan 58 lb. PCK (polycoated kraft) paper liner. At 5.0 mils thick, this transfer tape delivers reliable bonding to both high and low surface energy substrates, including powder-coated paints and plastics. The fiber-reinforced adhesive maintains roll stability in narrow widths and resists oozing during handling. Rated for short-term temperature exposure up to 450 degrees F and long-term use up to 300 degrees F, it holds shear and peel strength even under elevated heat. HVAC fabricators, sign makers, and industrial assembly technicians are the primary installers of this product.
This transfer tape is suited for bonding dissimilar materials where surface energy differences would cause standard tapes to fail. It performs on rougher surfaces as well as smooth ones, making it a flexible option for sheet metal assembly, foam lamination, gasket attachment, and panel bonding in both commercial and light industrial applications. The low-odor formulation supports use in enclosed or ventilated shop environments without excessive fume concerns. The roll ships as a single unit with a minimum order quantity of one roll.
Designed for bonding high and low surface energy materials including plastics, metals, and powder-coated surfaces, as well as substrates with rougher surface profiles typical of industrial fabrication and assembly applications.
Surface preparation is critical before applying any transfer tape — clean substrate surfaces thoroughly and allow to dry completely before liner removal and adhesive contact. Handle the liner carefully to avoid premature adhesive exposure; apply firm, even pressure across the bond line using a roller or squeegee for full contact. This product should be applied by experienced fabricators or technicians familiar with pressure-sensitive adhesive systems. Store rolls in a controlled environment to prevent moisture damage to the liner prior to use.
