The 3M 7000123353 is an adhesive transfer tape built around 3M High Performance Acrylic Adhesive 200MP, delivering strong peel and shear strength on metal and high surface energy (HSE) plastics. Supplied in a 24-inch-wide, 60-yard roll, it provides a thin, transparent bond line suitable for graphic attachment, laminating, and general industrial joining. The tape is temporarily repositionable before final commitment, allowing accurate placement on complex assemblies. A 58-lb polycoated kraft paper liner protects the adhesive and supports splicing operations. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades as well as fabrication shops rely on this format for consistent, repeatable bonding in production environments.
This tape is used in both residential and light commercial fabrication and assembly applications where a clean, permanent bond without visible adhesive mass is required. Typical scenarios include attaching nameplates, mounting gaskets, bonding trim panels, and splicing liner materials. The thicker adhesive formulation improves wet-out on lightly textured or contoured surfaces, making it practical in field assembly work where surface prep is limited. Installations in humid environments or those subject to thermal cycling benefit from the adhesive's resistance to moisture and temperature extremes.
Designed for bonding applications on metal substrates and high surface energy plastics; well-suited for graphic attachment and general industrial joining where a transparent, high-strength adhesive transfer tape is required.
Application is typically performed by fabricators, assembly technicians, or field service trades. Clean and degrease all bonding surfaces before application to ensure full adhesive contact. Apply firm, even pressure across the entire bond area to activate wet-out, particularly on textured surfaces. Once final placement is confirmed and the liner is removed, repositioning is no longer possible.
