The 3M 7000123322 is a double coated, open-cell urethane foam tape designed for bonding two surfaces together in a single application step. The 4052 series features a 1/32 inch thick foam core coated on both sides with pressure-sensitive adhesive and supplied with a paper liner for handling convenience. The black urethane foam construction conforms to irregular surfaces, making it well suited for assembly tasks where gap-filling and cushioning are needed alongside adhesion. This roll measures 3/4 inches wide by 72 yards long. HVAC, electrical, and general mechanical trade professionals use this tape for panel gasketing, vibration dampening, and component mounting.
This tape is commonly used in light industrial and commercial assembly applications, including HVAC cabinet sealing, electrical enclosure gasketing, and equipment panel bonding. The open-cell foam core allows slight compression under clamping or fastening pressure, helping maintain a consistent bond line across uneven or mated surfaces. It is also used in general manufacturing and maintenance applications where a flexible, conformable double-sided adhesive is required. Sold by the roll with a minimum order quantity of 12 rolls.
Designed as a general-purpose double coated foam tape suitable for bonding smooth to moderately textured surfaces in HVAC, electrical, and light mechanical assembly applications.
Surface preparation is critical for pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes — clean bonding surfaces of oil, dust, and moisture before application. Apply firm pressure across the full tape length after positioning to activate full adhesive contact. Remove the paper liner only at the point of bonding to prevent contamination of the exposed adhesive. Installation in low-temperature environments may reduce initial tack; allow surfaces to reach normal ambient temperature before applying.
