The 3M 7000123316 is a high-tack acrylic adhesive transfer tape designed for bonding a wide range of substrates including metals, glass, wood, paper, paint, and many plastics. The tape features an aggressive acrylic 400 adhesive that bonds on contact and maintains strong adhesion at temperatures up to 250 degrees F. Supplied on a 60 unbleached densified kraft liner, it supports both manual and automated hand-application workflows. At 12 inches wide and 60 yards long, this roll is suited for high-volume production and finishing operations where consistent, immediate tack is required.
This transfer tape is used in commercial print environments where high-speed flying splices and zero-speed splices are performed on most grades of paper. The liner is designed for easy release, making it practical for both machine-fed and hand-applied operations. It is also used in industrial assembly and fabrication settings where a thin, permanent adhesive layer is needed between dissimilar materials without adding bulk from a foam or film carrier.
Designed for bonding metals, glass, wood, paper, paint, and many plastics; well-suited for commercial print splicing applications and general industrial assembly where a thin acrylic transfer adhesive is required.
Application should be performed by personnel familiar with pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes and production splicing procedures. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of oils or contaminants before application for full bond strength. Apply firm, even pressure across the tape to ensure full adhesive contact with both substrates. Once the adhesive contacts the surface, repositioning is not recommended as bond strength develops immediately.
