The 3M 7000121950 is an extra-hard density unitized abrasive wheel designed for aggressive edge deburring and surface finishing on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built around aluminum oxide mineral in a non-woven construction, this 900 Series wheel delivers the highest density and edge durability in the Standard Abrasives Unitized Wheel line. At 3 inches in diameter, it attaches to compatible rotary tools and machines via a unitized wheel mandrel, sold separately. Metal fabricators and machinists use this wheel for heavy-duty burr removal and polishing passes where softer wheels wear too quickly or lack the cutting aggression needed on harder alloys.
This wheel is suited for deburring, blending, and light finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The extra-hard density makes it a strong fit for production environments and job-shop settings where wheel life and consistent cut rate matter on harder workpiece materials. It runs in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, adding flexibility when mounting on different tool configurations or automated equipment.
Designed for use with rotary tools and machines that accept a center-hole unitized wheel mandrel; compatible with the Standard Abrasives unitized wheel mandrel system as a 900 Series replacement for heavy-duty deburring applications.
Installation and wheel changes should be performed by qualified personnel following applicable machine guarding and abrasive wheel safety standards. Power down and de-energize the tool before mounting or removing the wheel. Confirm the mandrel and spindle speed rating meet or exceed the wheel's maximum rated RPM before operation. Inspect the wheel for damage prior to each use and discard any wheel showing cracks, chips, or distortion.
