The 3M 7000121942 is a non-woven surface conditioning belt designed for one-step workpiece preparation ahead of final finishes and coatings. Built on FE material with Aluminum Oxide abrasive, this belt delivers high initial cut rate and sustained stock removal under high contact pressure. At 18 inches long and 3/4 inch wide, it is sized for portable belt tools used in metalworking and fabrication shops. Licensed tradespeople and skilled fabricators use it to reduce prep steps on deburring and blending operations, particularly on edges and flat surfaces of ferrous metals.
This belt is suited for deburring, blending, and edge finishing on ferrous metals, stainless steel, and high nickel and chrome alloys. The open web construction responds to surface irregularities to minimize gouging, making it a practical choice for parts requiring consistent surface finish without aggressive material removal. It performs well in low-stretch applications where controlled, repeatable results are needed across production or repair work.
Designed for use on ferrous metals, stainless steel, and high nickel and chrome alloys. Fits portable belt tools and finishing equipment that accept an 18 inch by 3/4 inch non-woven abrasive belt.
Install on compatible belt finishing tools following the tool manufacturer's instructions for belt tensioning and tracking. Ensure the tool is powered down and unplugged before changing belts. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when handling abrasive belts and during grinding or finishing operations. Follow applicable shop safety procedures for abrasive tool use.
