The 3M 7000121941 is a non-woven surface conditioning FE belt designed for one-step workpiece preparation ahead of final finishes and coatings. Built on an open-web FE substrate with Aluminum Oxide abrasive, it delivers high initial cut rate along with extended cut life. The belt measures 18 inches in length and 3/4 inch in width. It is sized for use on portable belt tools and finishing machines handled by fabricators, metalworkers, and maintenance technicians. The non-woven construction resists heat buildup and maintains a consistent cut rate through the life of the belt.
This belt is engineered for deburring, blending, and edgework on ferrous metals, stainless steel, and high nickel and chrome alloys. The FE material performs at its best under high contact pressure where stock removal is the priority. The open-web design responds to surface irregularities and minimizes the risk of gouging the workpiece, making it a practical choice for edge prep and surface blending in fabrication and finishing environments. It is also suitable for low-stretch applications where belt stability is required.
Designed as a replacement-style surface conditioning belt for portable and stationary belt finishing tools that accept an 18-inch by 3/4-inch non-woven belt.
Installation is performed by metalworkers and fabricators operating belt finishing equipment. Power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before mounting or removing any abrasive belt. Confirm the tool spindle speed rating is compatible with the belt specifications before operation. Follow the equipment manufacturer's belt-tracking and tensioning procedures to ensure safe, consistent contact.
