The 3M 7000121166 is a nonwoven radial flap brush designed for consistent surface finishing and blending on all metal types. Rows of nonwoven abrasive material are arranged in a radial brush configuration, giving the tool conformability that adapts to contoured surfaces and irregular geometry. At 4.5 inches in diameter with a 4-inch face width and a 5/8-11 arbor thread, it mounts directly to compatible angle grinders and inline sanders. The 5A Medium grade positions this brush for general-purpose blending, deburring, and pre-finish work where a controlled, uniform scratch pattern is required. Weighing 0.89 pounds, it is a practical shop tool for sheet metal fabrication, welding cleanup, and structural finishing applications.
This flap brush is suited for metal finishing tasks in fabrication shops, manufacturing environments, and field welding operations. Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with rotary abrasive tools. Before mounting, power down and disconnect the grinder or sander from its power source. Verify the tool spindle thread is 5/8-11 and that the rated RPM of the tool does not exceed the maximum RPM rating of the brush. Always install and use per ANSI B7.1 safety standards for abrasive products, and wear appropriate eye and face protection during operation.
