The 3M 7000121033 is a Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Belt designed for detail finishing work on a variety of metal surfaces. It pairs a nonwoven open-web construction with aluminum oxide abrasive and a resin bond backed by a scrim reinforcement. The result is a flexible, conformable belt that blends, deburrs, cleans, and finishes without the loading and heat buildup common to coated abrasive belts. At 24 inches long and 3/4 inch wide, it fits narrow belt finishing machines used in fabrication and maintenance applications. Each belt weighs 0.1 pounds.
This belt is suited for metal finishing tasks in fabrication shops, manufacturing environments, and maintenance facilities. Typical applications include blending weld seams, cleaning oxidation, deburring cut edges, setting a straight-line brushed grain, and achieving stainless steel finishes. The conformable nonwoven web allows the abrasive to maintain contact with contoured and complex-shaped parts, making it useful in both hand-guided and robotic processing setups where consistent surface conditioning results are required across production runs.
Designed for use on narrow belt finishing machines accepting 24 inch by 3/4 inch belts; suitable for surface conditioning work on ferrous and non-ferrous metals including stainless steel.
Installation and belt changes should be performed by a qualified operator with the machine powered down and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify belt tracking and tension before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for tears or delamination prior to each use and discard any belt showing damage. Follow the machine manufacturer's recommended RPM range for the belt dimensions in use.
