The 3M 7000121006 is a Scotch-Brite High Strength non-woven abrasive disc built for general-purpose surface finishing in professional fabrication and metalworking applications. The disc uses an aluminum oxide (AO) abrasive bonded to a durable open-web, non-woven construction that resists loading and runs cool. At 8 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch arbor, it mounts on standard disc grinders and finishing machines. The open-web design allows heat and swarf to escape, keeping the abrasive cutting at a consistent rate from first use to last. Designed for deburring, denibing, defuzzing, and achieving satin finishes on a wide variety of metals.
This disc is suited for metal fabrication shops, HVAC sheet metal work, plumbing fitting prep, and light manufacturing where consistent surface conditioning is required. It performs on steel, aluminum, and other metals where clean edges and controlled surface finish matter. The conformable disc face follows irregular contours, making it useful on formed parts as well as flat stock. Multiple discs can be stacked on the arbor to cover larger surface areas or increase aggressiveness, extending the tool's versatility across different job requirements.
Designed for use on standard disc grinders and finishing machines accepting an 8 inch diameter disc with a 1/2 inch arbor. Suitable for use on steel, aluminum, and similar metals requiring deburring, cleaning, or satin finish work.
Installation and disc changes should be performed by a qualified operator with the grinder or finishing machine powered down and unplugged. Verify that the machine's rated RPM meets or exceeds the disc's maximum speed rating before mounting. Ensure the arbor nut is secured properly before operation. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when operating abrasive discs.
