The 3M 7000121006 is an aluminum oxide deburring disc designed for edge finishing, light material removal, and surface preparation on metal workpieces. At 8 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch arbor hole, this disc mounts to standard bench grinders and finishing machines for consistent, repeatable results. The fine grade abrasive delivers a controlled cut that removes burrs and sharp edges without aggressive stock removal, making it well suited for final deburring passes on machined, stamped, or cut metal parts. The arbor connector style provides secure, centered mounting. Rated to 3000 RPM, it operates safely within the speed range of most bench-top finishing equipment. Technicians and machinists in fabrication, maintenance, and manufacturing environments are the primary users.
This disc is applied in metal fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and light industrial settings where consistent edge conditioning is required. It performs on ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel, aluminum, and brass. Typical use cases include deburring drilled holes, ground edges, and cut tube ends. The fine grade makes it appropriate for finishing work where surface integrity matters and visible scratch patterns must be minimized. It is sold and packaged individually, making it straightforward to stock as a single replacement unit.
Designed as an arbor-mount deburring disc for bench grinders and finishing machines that accept an 8 inch disc with a 1/2 inch center hole arbor connection.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician or machinist familiar with bench grinder and abrasive disc safety practices. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the disc. Verify the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 3000 RPM disc rating before operation. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage prior to each use and do not operate a damaged disc.
