The 3M 7000120917 is a convolute deburring wheel designed for edge blending, surface finishing, and burr removal on metal workpieces. Built with silicon carbide abrasive in a hard density grade 8 construction, this wheel delivers consistent cut and finish performance across a range of metalworking operations. The convolute construction bonds abrasive material throughout the wheel body, so cutting action remains uniform as the wheel wears. Rated to 6,000 RPM, it suits both bench-mounted and inline power tool applications. Machinists, tool and die technicians, and metalworking professionals use this wheel where controlled stock removal and a fine finish are required in the same operation.
This deburring wheel fits applications on centerless grinders, die grinders, inline sanders, manual backstands, and pressure assist backstands. The 6 inch diameter and 1 inch face width make it a practical fit for standard spindle setups in fabrication shops and production finishing lines. The fine grade silicon carbide abrasive suits non-ferrous metals, cast iron, and hard ferrous alloys where a controlled finish is needed after machining or grinding operations. The 1 inch center hole provides direct mounting to compatible arbors.
Designed for use with centerless grinders, die grinders, inline sanders, manual backstands, and pressure assist backstands accepting a 6 inch diameter by 1 inch face wheel with a 1 inch center hole arbor mount.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or metalworking professional familiar with abrasive wheel safety practices. Confirm the spindle speed of the tool does not exceed the 6,000 RPM maximum rating of this wheel before mounting. Power down and lock out the tool before mounting or removing the wheel, and verify the arbor size matches the 1 inch center hole. Always dress the wheel and verify true running before commencing material removal, and use appropriate eye protection and guarding per ANSI B11 and applicable shop safety standards.
