The 3M 7000120912 is a convolute deburring wheel constructed with silicon carbide abrasive and rated at a hard density grade of 8. The wheel measures 8 inches in diameter with a 1 inch face width and a 3 inch center hole. It is designed for consistent, controlled deburring, surface conditioning, and edge blending on metal workpieces. With a maximum operating speed of 4,500 RPM, the 7000120912 delivers repeatable results on bench top motors, inline sanders, and manual backstand setups. The silicon carbide grain is well suited to aggressive cutting action on nonferrous metals, hardened steels, and cast materials. Installation and operation are handled by machinists and maintenance professionals in fabrication and production environments.
This wheel is a fit for applications that require consistent material removal and edge refinement across production runs. Typical use cases include deburring stamped or machined parts, blending sharp edges on structural components, and surface preparation ahead of finishing operations. The convolute construction provides a uniform cut rate throughout the life of the wheel, reducing the need for frequent adjustments as the wheel wears. It is compatible with mandrel and adapter specification 356 and is used on bench top motors, inline sanders, and manual backstand equipment.
Designed for use with bench top motors, inline sanders, and manual backstand equipment. Compatible with mandrel and adapter specification 356.
This wheel should be mounted and operated by qualified personnel familiar with abrasive wheel safety practices. Before installation, verify that the spindle speed of the host machine does not exceed the 4,500 RPM maximum rating marked on the wheel. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or damage before each use and never operate a damaged wheel.
