The 3M 7000120857 is an aluminum oxide deburring disc designed for edge finishing, burr removal, and surface blending on metal workpieces. The disc measures 6 inches in diameter with a 1/4-inch arbor-style center hole and is rated for a maximum of 4000 RPM. Its very fine grade abrasive delivers controlled material removal suited to final-stage deburring and light surface conditioning without aggressive stock removal. The maroon-colored disc is compatible with standard disc holders and backing pads used in metalworking and fabrication shops.
This deburring disc is used in metal fabrication, maintenance, and light manufacturing environments where clean edge prep is required before assembly, coating, or inspection. It is appropriate for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals in both bench-mounted and portable tool setups. Machinists, pipefitters, millwrights, and general fabrication tradespeople commonly use this disc during finishing operations to remove sharp edges left by cutting, drilling, or machining.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use disc for arbor-mount disc holders and backing pads accepting a 6-inch diameter disc with a 1/4-inch center hole.
Installation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson or machinist familiar with abrasive disc mounting procedures. Always power down and disconnect the tool before mounting or removing the disc. Confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 4000 RPM maximum rating marked on the disc before operation. Inspect the disc for damage or delamination before each use and discard any disc that shows cracks, tears, or separation.
