The 3M 7000120821 is a Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Disc designed for cleaning, blending, deburring, and finishing across a wide range of materials. Built on a durable non-woven fiber construction, the disc conforms to irregular and contoured surfaces without undercutting or damaging the substrate. At 2 inches in diameter and rated coarse grade with aluminum oxide abrasive, this disc is well suited as a first-step abrasive in multi-stage finishing workflows. The open web structure allows heat to dissipate during use, reducing loading and extending operational life. HVAC sheet metal techs, fabricators, and maintenance professionals all find this disc useful for prep and surface conditioning work.
This disc is configured for right-angle grinder use and attaches via a hook and loop system, enabling fast changeovers between abrasive grades during multi-step finishing processes. The coarse aluminum oxide grade makes it effective on metal, composite, plastics, and similar materials where initial surface prep, light deburring, or scale removal is required. It is sold in box quantities with a minimum order of 4 units per UPC 051131074533. The non-woven construction is particularly effective on contoured or irregular workpieces where rigid abrasive products would leave uneven results.
Designed for use with right-angle grinders equipped with a hook and loop disc backing pad. Suitable for surface conditioning applications on metal, composite, and plastic substrates.
Mount the disc onto a compatible hook and loop backing pad on a right-angle grinder before powering the tool. Ensure the grinder is disconnected from power and the disc is fully seated on the backing pad before operation. Follow applicable shop safety guidelines including eye protection and appropriate RPM ratings for the tool and disc. Inspect the disc for wear or damage before each use and replace when abrasive performance degrades.
