The 3M 7000120757 is a Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Low Stretch Belt designed for blending, finishing, and light deburring across a range of metalworking and fabrication tasks. Built on a durable polyester scrim backing, it resists stretching during high-speed belt operations, helping maintain consistent contact with the workpiece. The open non-woven nylon web construction is load-resistant, shedding swarf and debris to extend abrasive service life. At 42 inches long and 1 inch wide, it fits standard narrow belt finishing equipment used in metal fab shops and maintenance settings. Aluminum oxide mineral with a resin bond delivers moderate cut and finish in one pass.
This belt is suited for surface conditioning work on stainless steel, brass, aluminum, and other metals in both production and maintenance environments. Its moderate aggressiveness makes it effective in multi-step sequences where operators need to blend welds, remove light oxidation, or prep surfaces without marring the substrate geometry. Fabricators, maintenance machinists, and metal finishing technicians are the primary installers and users. It ships in a minimum quantity of 10 belts per order.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit belt for standard narrow belt finishing and surface conditioning machines accepting a 1 inch wide by 42 inch long belt configuration.
Belt installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or metal finishing technician with the belt machine fully powered down and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Confirm belt tracking and tension per the machine manufacturer guidelines before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for tears or separation before each use and do not exceed the rated operating speed of the machine.
