The 3M 7000120663 Scotch-Brite MU-WL Multi-Finishing Wheel is a convolute-constructed abrasive wheel designed for cleaning and final finishing on stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and other metals. The open, non-woven web construction runs cool, reducing heat buildup on heat-sensitive materials. A combination of silicon carbide mineral grades and soft density delivers a high degree of conformability with controlled, consistent wear across the life of the wheel. This wheel is suited for trade professionals performing surface prep and finish work in fabrication, maintenance, and metalworking applications.
This finishing wheel is used in final finishing applications where conformability and lighter density are required. It performs well on contoured, curved, and irregular surfaces across stainless steel, ferrous, and non-ferrous metals. The moderate aggressiveness of the wheel provides predictable material removal without aggressive stock loss, making it appropriate for applications where surface consistency and appearance are critical. The 6 inch diameter fits standard arbor-mounted bench or pedestal grinder configurations used in shop and field settings.
Designed for final finishing and cleaning applications on stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Suitable for use on standard arbor-mounted finishing equipment accepting 6 inch diameter convolute wheels.
Mounting and operation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with abrasive wheel safety standards. Verify that the spindle speed of the host machine does not exceed the maximum rated RPM of the wheel before mounting. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and follow all applicable ANSI B7.1 safe practices for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels. Always use appropriate eye protection and guarding during operation.
