The 3M 7000120301 is a Trizact 307EA coated abrasive belt built around 3M proprietary microreplication technology. Micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral is formed into uniform three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to a flexible rayon cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh sharp cutting edges are continuously exposed, maintaining a consistent cut rate and predictable surface finish throughout the belt's service life. The belt measures 132 inches in length and 3 inches in width. It is intended for intermediate finishing and fine polishing operations in industrial and fabrication environments.
This belt is suited for metalworking applications where controlled, repeatable surface finish is required prior to plating, buffing, or final inspection. The flexible rayon cloth backing conforms to contoured and irregular workpiece geometry, making it practical for both flat and shaped surfaces. Its three-dimensional abrasive structure makes it particularly well-suited for robotic or automated finishing lines where consistent finish across long production runs is critical. Manual grinding and finishing operations also benefit from the belt's self-sharpening characteristics and cooler running behavior compared to conventional coated abrasives.
