The 3M 7000120269 is a Trizact 237AA abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications across metal fabrication and surface prep work. It uses 3M proprietary microreplication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into three-dimensional pyramids and coated onto an X-weight cloth backing. As the pyramids wear, fresh cutting edges are continuously exposed, delivering consistent cut rate and a predictable, fine surface finish throughout the life of the belt. This belt measures 60 inches in length and 25 inches in width and is suited for both manual and robotic finishing lines.
This belt is intended for industrial surface finishing where controlled, repeatable results are required prior to plating or buffing operations. The flexible cloth backing conforms to contours, making it effective on curved or profiled workpieces. Its three-dimensional abrasive structure is particularly well-suited for robotic grinding and finishing cells where consistent finish quality across an entire production run is critical. Designed as a replacement-style abrasive belt for industrial belt grinders and finishing machines accepting a 60-inch by 25-inch belt. Confirm platen, contact wheel, and drive roller dimensions on your machine before installation.
Installation should be performed by qualified metalworking or maintenance personnel. Power down and lock out the belt grinder or finishing machine before changing belts. Verify belt tracking alignment before returning the machine to operation, and confirm the belt runs in the correct direction if the belt is directional.
