The 3M 7000119602 is a coated abrasive hook-and-loop sanding disc engineered for clean sanding applications across woodworking, finishing, and surface preparation tasks. Built on a C-weight paper backing, this 3-inch disc uses aluminum oxide grains and features a proprietary multi-hole dust extraction pattern that outperforms standard 5- or 6-hole disc designs. The open-coat, load-resistant construction resists clogging and maintains cutting efficiency throughout the life of the disc. At P150 grit, it is suited for intermediate material removal and surface smoothing. Installation and swapping are straightforward thanks to the hook-and-loop attachment system, which allows the disc to be removed and reattached without tools.
This disc is intended for use with compatible 3-inch hook-and-loop random orbital and orbital sanders in residential and light commercial finishing environments. Typical applications include bare wood sanding, paint scuffing between coats, and primer leveling. The multi-hole pattern is designed to work with dust-extraction sander ports without requiring hole alignment, making it practical for production finishing workflows where downtime matters. Woodworkers, finish carpenters, painters, and general contractors are the primary installers of this product.
Designed for use with 3-inch hook-and-loop random orbital and orbital sanders equipped with dust extraction ports. Suitable as a replacement disc for sanders accepting standard 3-inch hook-and-loop abrasive discs.
Attach the disc to a compatible hook-and-loop sander pad by pressing firmly until the fastening surfaces are fully engaged. Ensure the sander is powered off and unplugged before changing discs. Inspect the disc for tears, loading, or worn abrasive before each use, and replace if performance is degraded. Follow applicable workplace safety guidelines and use appropriate dust collection equipment when sanding.
