The 3M 7000119546 is a coated abrasive disc roll in the Stikita 236U series, designed for sanding applications where fast disc changes and consistent cut are priorities. Each roll features 5-inch diameter discs with a P220 grit aluminum oxide mineral on a C-weight paper backing. The pressure-sensitive adhesive backing attaches directly to a compatible Stikita backup pad without the need to peel individual disc liners. Aluminum oxide is a proven mineral for general-purpose material removal, offering durable cutting action across wood, metal, composites, and painted surfaces. A load-resistant coating helps keep the abrasive surface clear during use, extending grain life and maintaining cut rate throughout the disc's service cycle.
This disc roll is suited for finishing and intermediate sanding passes in woodworking shops, metal fabrication, and surface preparation work. P220 grit places it in the fine-finishing range, making it appropriate for final smoothing before staining, priming, or coating. The roll format is a practical choice for production environments and busy shops where minimizing downtime between disc changes improves throughput. Installation requires a compatible 3M Stikita backup pad, sold separately.
Designed for use with a compatible 3M Stikita backup pad, sold separately. Requires a backup pad that accepts 5-inch pressure-sensitive adhesive discs.
Installation and disc changes should be performed with the power tool disconnected from its power source. Align the disc squarely on the backup pad face and press firmly to ensure full adhesive contact before operating. Inspect each disc for tears or uneven wear before use and discard any damaged discs. Follow all applicable workplace safety guidelines and tool manufacturer recommendations when operating random orbital or disc sanders.
