The 3M 7000119508 is a coated abrasive belt featuring Cubitron II 984F technology with Precision-Shaped Grain on a YF-weight polyester cloth backing. Measuring 132 inches long and 4 inches wide at 60 grit, this belt is engineered for medium to high pressure grinding applications on stainless steel, carbon steel, cobalt chrome, nickel alloys, and other exotic alloys. The Precision-Shaped Grain continuously fractures to expose sharp cutting points, maintaining fast cut rates throughout the belt life. A built-in grinding aid reduces heat generation, minimizing metal discoloration, oxidation, and heat-related stress cracks. Metal fabricators, weld grinding operations, and robotic grinding cells are the primary users of this product.
This belt is suited for industrial grinding and finishing environments where consistent cut rate and extended belt life are critical. It performs well in pressure-assisted and robotic abrasive applications where frequent belt changes create costly downtime. Typical use cases include weld blending, surface conditioning, and stock removal on stainless steel components, exotic alloy parts, and carbon steel fabrications.
