The 3M 7000119249 is a coated abrasive disc roll in the 426U series, designed for high-production sanding environments where consistent finish quality and minimal downtime are priorities. Each roll contains multiple 5-inch diameter discs with a 100-grit silicon carbide abrasive bonded to a lightweight A-weight paper backing. The open-coat construction and anti-load coating work together to resist clogging and maintain aggressive cut rate throughout the disc life. The Stikita pressure-sensitive adhesive backing allows fast attachment and clean removal from compatible backup pads, making disc changes quick during multi-step finishing workflows. Licensed trade finishers, woodworkers, and production shop technicians are the primary installers of this product.
This disc roll is suited for general-purpose sanding on wood, white wood, sealed surfaces, metal, plastic, drywall, fiberglass, glass, clear coat, and ceramic. The 5-inch diameter and vacuum-compatible format make it appropriate for use with standard random orbital and disc sanders fitted with vacuum dust extraction. It performs well in applications where fine finish is critical, such as sealer sanding and solid surface preparation. The roll format reduces handling time in high-volume production settings by keeping multiple discs organized and ready to use.
Designed for use with 5-inch backup pads featuring Stikita-compatible pressure-sensitive adhesive attachment on random orbital and disc sanders equipped with vacuum dust extraction ports.
Power down and disconnect the sander from its power source before changing discs. Align the disc centered on the backup pad and press firmly to engage the Stikita adhesive before resuming operation. Ensure the sander vacuum port is clear and connected to an appropriate dust collection system before use. Discs should be stored in a cool, dry environment to preserve adhesive performance.
