This design delivers a higher cut rate with less applied pressure compared to conventional fiber discs. The stiff fiber backing paired with a strong resin bond resists tearing under aggressive load conditions. A built-in grinding aid reduces heat buildup at the work surface, making this disc suitable for heat-sensitive alloys. Fabricators, welders, and metal finishing technicians are the primary installers of this product.
This disc is suited for robotic grinding setups, pressure-assisted angle grinder applications, and manual weld removal on structural and sheet metal. The 4.5-inch diameter and 60-grit specification make it a practical choice for aggressive stock removal and weld bead grinding where surface prep speed matters.
