The 3M 7000119200 is a 5-inch ceramic fiber disc designed for aggressive material removal on angle grinders and disc grinders. Running on a resinoid bond with a fiber backing, this disc delivers consistent cut rates across steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals. The 80-grit, medium-grade abrasive makes it well suited for weld blending, surface prep, and deburring tasks where stock removal speed matters. It mounts via a standard arbor hole and is rated to a maximum of 12,000 RPM. The maroon color designates the 982C series within the 3M fiber disc lineup.
This disc is intended for use in metal fabrication, maintenance, and repair environments where professionals need a reliable coated abrasive for flat or contoured surfaces. Typical applications include weld seam grinding, rust removal, and pre-paint surface conditioning on structural steel, pipe, and plate.
