The 3M 7000119066 is an aluminum oxide coated abrasive belt designed for sanding and finishing applications on wood, metal, and composite surfaces. Built on an F-weight paper backing, one of the heaviest and most rigid paper substrates available, this belt delivers smooth, consistent stock removal. The P120 grit open-coat construction resists loading and keeps the surface cutting aggressively throughout the belt's service life. A sine wave splice eliminates hinging at the joint, reduces fatigue, and minimizes chatter marks during operation. Licensed tradespeople and production floor operators in woodworking, metal fabrication, and finishing shops are the primary users.
This belt measures 54 inches by 103 inches and is suited for wide-format stationary belt sanders and industrial finishing machines in both production and job-shop environments. The anti-static treatment helps control dust buildup, reducing cleanup time and improving surface visibility during the pass. The F-weight backing performs in either feed direction, giving operators flexibility when mounting. Applications include stock removal, blending, and intermediate finishing on flat and contoured workpieces.
Designed for use on wide-format stationary belt sanding machines that accept 54-inch by 103-inch abrasive belts in industrial woodworking, metal finishing, and composite fabrication applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with the specific belt sander being serviced. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the belt. Verify belt tracking alignment and tension per the equipment manufacturer's guidelines before resuming operation. Inspect the splice area prior to each use and retire the belt if delamination or splice separation is detected.
